WebRTC support is being added to OBS
- nerdbaggy 5y agoWHIP seems the way to go. I found this good description of it https://www.meetecho.com/blog/whip-janus-part-ii/ https://www.meetecho.com/blog/whip-janus-part-ii/

- charcircuit 5y ago>FTL was created by Mixer It was created by Beam.pro before Microsoft came in and they rebranded. Does this new WebRTC protocol have comparable latency. I was extremely surprised the first time Beam started beta testing FTL. I typed a chat message and it immediately showed up on stream. I was amazed.
- torginus 5y agoWebRTC by itself is what is used by Zoom and/or game streaming services like Amazon Luna or Stadia, so it has the potential to be extremely low-latency. What I'm more skeptical about is how they are going to make the single-producer multiple-consumer model work, which is the use case for streaming services. Perhaps they are only planning on using this to communicate between the streamer and the Twitch servers?
- zorr 5y agoDoes OBS support anything like that? As I understand it OBS is mostly used for streaming to a single endpoint like Twitch and YouTube and those services redistribute to multiple consumers.
- charcircuit 5y agoFTL uses WebRTC too.
- phoe-krk 5y agoThe whole thread is from early 2021 and so it should have [2021] in the title. The only relatively modern part is a few comments on the bottom, one of which states, "Q3 2022 is our new target for an MVP of WebRTC output."
