So, you need to be able to write with a pen so that you can read it. I can read my handwriting just fine. And, my chickenscratch is easier to write at a higher speed, so my ideas are less choked. It makes sense to teach the arts. But requiring traditional penmanship as a measure of writing ability is absurd.
