A safe rule of thumb is to never install Insider Preview builds unless you want to be a lab rat.
An even safer rule of thumb is to only install LTSB/LTSC builds of Windows, if you can get access to them.
- cyber_kinetist 5y agoI stopped using the LTSC branch because it doesn't have seamless upgrades between versions. I discovered that some of the main programs I was using (like Windows Terminal) refused to run on older versions of Windows LTSC, but didn't want to reinstall the whole OS just to use these programs.
