The Wizards and the Sheep (2017)
- msla 5y agoThere needs to be companies which specialize in raising sheep, where a bunch of wizards can go in together and pool money to buy a large flock and enough ancillary to take care of it, and they can all share profits when some of the sheep are turned into parchment or mutton, or provide wool. A company owned by all of the investors. A joint livestock company, providing Sheep as a Service.

- knighthack 5y agoI had no idea that/how the economic sustainability of a career in wizardry would be so closely founded upon sheep. And that wizardry would, amongst the practising masters, inevitably lead to sheep-rearing. I also loved how it all tied back to adventurer plot lines, political machinations, quests, guilds, and the like. What a wonderful read. Fascinating.
