You can use an RSS reader to monitor for replies. The URL would be something like: https://hnrss.org/replies?id=greedo https://hnrss.org/replies?id=greedo I'm not sure who maintains the site, but it helps me notice replies to my comments. And since I only check it once a day or so, I don't get too involved with flamewars.
