What a bunch of nonsense. 'GET' must be idempotent, that is all. Facebook is big enough that all sorts of sophists are going to come out of the woodwork and make plausible-ish arguments against everything they do. The motivation to do this isn't that it is good or something, it's because if you can say something bad about facebook, your comment can become news. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be scrutinized, but it also doesn't mean that we should pay attention to stupid articles like this. Or does the 'andothernoise' author think that collecting analytics 'violates http'?
