In the misinformation wars, renewable energy is the latest to be attacked
- giantg2 5y agoIt would be great to have some more factual content in here. What is the unacceptable setback that is preventing projects from going in? It's easy to attack things like reposts of pictures or Trump soundbites. It would be more useful to investigate the underlying issues and concerns. It's hard to show something is misinformation without multiple sources disproving it with facts. Otherwise, I would consider these strawman arguments to be misinformation too. I found this with a quick search. No idea if the cited studies have flaws. But they seem to contradict the claim that nearby wind turbines don't affect value. Could this be a reasonable area to investigate? https://www.forbes.com/sites/judeclemente/2015/09/23/do-wind-turbines-lower-property-values/?sh=5663dc9848cb https://www.forbes.com/sites/judeclemente/2015/09/23/do-wind... I'll admit that I'm against some of the renewable push. For example, an area I know recently had a ridge top clear cut to make way for a solar farm. The solar panels of which are nor recyclable. Must we destroy nature in the name of protecting it? Who know, maybe it is a net positive, albeit a sad one. Which side is providing misleading and false info? It appears to be both.
