I disagree; I used Chrome for a decade but recently switched back to Firefox because I found it increasingly bloated, and the Chrome team keeps making user-hostile decisions that works to circumvent privacy on the web. Saying "Chrome supports the open source package its built on" seems like a cop-out as well, because it's not the same browser. That's like saying MacOS is awesome because it was built on BSD, and BSD is easily available. They bare little resemblance to each other.
