We can all laugh at how stupid these moves sounds, but Facebook is an incredibly profitable company not in the habit of burning through cash on doomed projects. It really sounds like they’re buying hard into the meta-verse and the most terrifying thought to me is. What if this pays off?
- delecti 5y agoFacebook has had a good streak of successful ideas, but basically operates at the whims of Zuckerberg, and nobody has exclusively good ideas. There will probably be something like meta-verse that eventually gets popular, but I suspect that success is not going to be something achieved by throwing money at the problem.
