I know this is rather pedantic, but that's not a periodic table and using the term outside the actual meaning in Chemistry/Physics is quite annoying. The arrangement in the real periodic table is not arbitrary at all, it is stricly according to physical principles. I don't think I've ever seen a "periodic table for [X]" that has any kind of similar principles in organization.

- OscarCunningham 5y agoIn category theory, there's the periodic table of n-categories: https://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/periodic+table https://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/periodic+table
- mattlondon 5y agoAgreed - I feel like there is scope for similar categorisation here, e.g that things that work together should be somehow adjacent. I am not sure what the layout here should be - perhaps 2 dimensions is not enough It seems that this is mainly sorted by popularity/importance, with the most popular/import things at the top left.
