To Dox or Not Dox: Is Anonymity in Crypto a Farce?

- rvz 5y agoNot if you are using privacy coins like Monero or MobileCoin (Even better with Signal.) or services like Tornado.cash. Not even a single mention of either of them in this article. The title (and parts of the article) is an extremely silly attempt at generalising the anonymity problem to all cryptocurrencies. No where in the white-papers of Bitcoin, and Ethereum which are the cryptocurrencies mentioned in this article ever addressed the anonymity of the sender and the receiver in the first place. There is only pseduo-anonymity, due to linking up the addresses in the blockchain. Anyone who believes that those cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum) had ever addressed anonymity have indirectly proven that they have been successfully misled.
