Flat Earth Theory: Inside Mike Hughes' Doomed Search for Answers
- quantified 5y agoIt’s hard to find flat-earth-supporting videos on Youtube now (which feels nannying), but the few I’ve found seem to wilfully ignore actual science and geometry or veer into outright deception (such as denying the disappearance of the far shore of a body of water). At least Mike was actually going to do what science calls for and make his own observation. Rocketry takes, well, rocket science, and a bunch of weather balloons and a lawn chair might have served him better, but he will always have my respect for going for it. Very sad he didn’t make it, but he died doing Mike and that more than most of us will be able to say.
