It's funny how a post highlighting how hn crowd dismisses opinions... is being dismissed :D I empathize with the OP but I can't possibly agree HN is "toxic". It is a place were clearly a lot of legitimae conversations sparkle and unique ideas are being surfaced. I myself feel frustrated when people misinterpret my comments and downvote, but that's just a fluke. I have seen the bottomless pit of toxicity in some online gaming circles... hn is miles away.
