I have been hanging out here since 2009, HN is probably the tamest message board I am a part of.
If anything, HN can sometimes be overly moderated.
The most toxic posts are when people talk about politics. I wish there's a way for HN to sectioned those off.
- that_guy_iain 5y agoEspecially for tech communities. I literally stopped following tech people on Twitter because it was a different drama every week. I learnt more about drama than I did about tech which was why I was following them. I stopped using some reddit subreddits because it was so toxic that it wasn't worth being part of.
