If electric cars are so important then why are we relying on companies to build and sell them for huge profits? Make it a nation security issue and have government workers build an affordable electric car and compete with the private sector forcing their prices down. Until we start getting electric vehicles for around $20k mass adoption won’t happen.
- potatochup 5y agoPretty much every manufacturer is constrained by cell supply. If you can only sell a smaller amount of cars due to supply issues, then you need to make it up by offering premium models. Only once the supply constraints relieve will someone like ford, GM or Tesla start making cheaper cars.
