It's always interesting to read new articles about stoicism. Reading the texts and listening in on discussions, I admit the platform often seems a bit like a one-trick pony to me, maybe even for turning an individual into a martyr for a cause nobody else understands. (Side benefit--I admit such an effort can make one feel like a very special ninja, covert ops warrior, one of a kind, etc.)
In other ways it can also come off like a horse-sense philosophy of "just do it" without the swoosh.
In this case I can see some potentially helpful complements for all of the article's points, from other philosophies and perspectives:
Focus on what you can control... _and_ Learn to be more convincing and persuasive (Stoic integrates Diplomat)
Diminish your ego... _and_ Learn to recognize when over-simplified perspectives are creating an ego effect (Stoic integrates Academic)
Practice resilience... _and_ Develop new means of creative problem-solving (Stoic integrates Inventor)
Lead by example... _and_ And make sure you are communicating for the effect you want; don't write covert subjective performance contracts that turn you into a martyr (Stoic integrates Communicator)
