It's really bizarre how desperately the US is pushing for war, the entire world can see through their mindless propaganda. Even the Ukrainian President needed to tell Biden to calm the f*ck down.[0]
No-one is buying the lies anymore.

- SubiculumCode 5y agoThe U.S. is definitely NOT pushing for war. No one wants war with Putin's Russia. But Putin's Russia is a bad actor on the world stage and have attacked the U.S. repeatedly. So we are being proactive now.
- mytailorisrich 5y agoIt's true that no-one wants war. That includes Russia, actually. The whole "war is coming" is pushed by the US for some reason and the public buys it. As you can see it even allows the US to claim "victory" when Russia stays put.
- long_time_gone 5y agoCan someone explain why Russia put 150k troops on the border if they weren't trying to do anything? > As you can see it even allows the US to claim "victory" when Russia stays put. They announced a "pull back" today. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/15/ukraine-concerns-ease-on-report-of-partial-pullback-by-russian-troops.html https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/15/ukraine-concerns-ease-on-rep...
- mytailorisrich 5y agoOf course they are trying to do something (and so are the US). But what is it? Are they planning military action or doing a show of strength to send a message? I think propaganda and disinformation runs high on both sides at the moment so that it's not straightforward to get an idea of what is really going on.
- long_time_gone 5y ago> Are they planning military action or doing a show of strength to send a message? There is no way to know, that's the entire point. The moment you don't take it seriously is the time they conduct a military action.
- mytailorisrich 5y agoIt's best to be critical of what we're told either way... This includes wondering what it's in it for the US. I doubt it is Ukraine per se, and even if it is we can also wonder what the US are doing there so there is definitely more than meets the eye.
- long_time_gone 5y agoHas any of the new information changed your mind on this issue? It seems most of western intelligence was correct on Putin's actions and intentions.

- SubiculumCode 5y agoAnd what exactly did I get wrong? Your response flirted with an ad hominem insinuation, namely that I am biased and emotional, and ignored what I said.
