- georgyo 5y agoJava is both a compiler and a run time. You can ship someone a compiled Java and they will still need the JVM to actually run it. Sometimes you need the oven to bake a cake and eat it to.
- chrisseaton 5y agoWell you can AOT Java to a stand-alone binary too - but none of this is relevant to Rust.
