Show HN: I made a stupid easy reminder app for iOS – feedback needed
- mr_huseby 5y agoBack-story: I got fed up when I noticed that I was famous for saying ”Sorry! I forgot it!” to friends and family. So I started looking into it and find out that I tried to keep small reminders in my head instead of writing them down. I started trying out different productivity apps but everything i tried out was way too complicated and time consuming. I could see that I needed something that was stupid easy and without any barriers to get a hang of it and that’s why I created Repose. I would love your feedback!
- u2077 5y agoSuper simple, easy to use. A few recommendations: 1) add support for am/pm, along with the option to disable the leading 0. 2) Add the ability to change accent color + app icon 3) Home screen widgets Note: I did not test premium features so I can’t give feedback on that. If you have custom repeat, that’s good enough for me. Your app doesn’t have enough features to justify a subscription IMO, but it does one thing well. I honestly wouldn’t add more features unless you want to complete with other big names.
- mr_huseby 5y agoThank you some much for your feedback! 1) We are working on 12h format atm 2) can you elaborate on why you would like to be able to change the color scheme? 3) what feature would you like as a widget? If you mean recurring reminders with “custom repeat” we offer that to our premium users. Thank you for your time, it’s much appreciated!
- u2077 5y ago2) No reason, the app seems simple enough to customize the accent color, and would be a fun add-on for premium members. 3) Just the ability to add select tasks on the widget. Could be long-term items or up next. 4) Add swipe actions for complete/incomplete. My ideal setup would be swipe left to edit/complete (swiping left again would mark as incomplete) and swipe right to delete. (Deleting is less common)
- mr_huseby 5y agoThank you! Your feedback/ideas are much appreciated!
- louisdebaere 5y agoWhy do you want to track me? I would be nice if I tap outside the text field if the keyboard went away
- mr_huseby 5y agoGreat question and feedback! We use GA to track how many reminders are created by our total user base to get a better understanding of user behaviours.
