- s1artibartfast 5y agoThis seems overboard and I hope parliament rejects it. The solution to illegal behavior in a democracy is legal arrest. Not extra judicial measures and invoking anti-terror powers.
- hourislate 5y agoIt's amazing what's going on, hard to believe it's happening in Canada. Trudeau is becoming some kind of Tyrant. Glad I don't have to live under such a repressive Government. Still free here in the USA.
- tinus_hn 5y agoPeople blocking a bridge is the end to civilized society and such a large threat to a nation that any measure is justified. On the other hand, shutting down the entire economy in a lockdown is not a problem at all! It all comes down to the idea that democracy means protests are fine as long as they can be easily ignored, otherwise they are an insidious threat to be squashed. The idea that the majority gets to decide what the minority gets to say.
