This is a really disappointing article in that it basically says nothing. It essentially just says “Cyclic Big Bang - Big Crunch fell out of favor, now someone says it’s possible again”. Okay, but what actually made it fall out of favor? “Background radiation” is meaninglessly hand wavey. And what was established that makes it look plausible now? Again, nothing explained.
