Speculative coins aside, stablecoins solve a problem that has been there forever - they allow you to actually own your money. Without them the only way to keep your money not in cash is give them to 3rd party (banks/investment funds etc) which is just absurd. And if you are not in top country, those third parties can collapse/be blocked in a blink of an eye (and they always and often do).
