We've been "near guinea worm eradication" for 25 years.
- pg_bot 5y agoThere has been significant progress over that time period. There were approximately 10,000 cases in 2007. There were 14 cases in 2021. It may take a few more years to get to zero, but that means no one will ever have to deal with this parasite ever again.
