Smart people are rarely happy. That is the curse of the smart. And I think there is a reason for that, smart people are always looking for problems to solve in a smart way :) The only time smart people are happy is when they have solved a problem; that lasts for a brief moment and then they are on to solving the next problem.
Just my 2cents hypothesis :)
- freedom2099 5y agoThat is absolutely untrue! I am am pretty smart (I was tested by a psychologist and my IQ is in the 98th percentile) and am an extremely happy. I like solving problems but Ondo not seek them! I found joy I so many things! I love my job (and I am not an ambitious person… a long I earn well I do not care about climbing the “ladder”) and I earn well, Living in France I work 35h a week with 35 days of vacation a year, I have a lovely wife I have been with for 20 years, plenty of fun hobbies to engage in ad many good friends! I have no reason to be sad unless I actively decide to be sad!
