- tomtheelder 5y agoWhat people call OOP is OOP, literally by definition. Alan Kay may have coined the term, but his version of OOP has nothing to do with what is commonly understood today, and is therefore irrelevant.

To give you an example, people use "their" instead of "they're" all the time. It doesn't mean that "their" means "they're".
