At least the author/article admits:
> Note: The title of this article is a bit clickbaity — with python not resident in the page cache, it takes the 5950x-based system ~70ms to run time python3 -c "exit()", but it only takes ~10ms with a hot page cache
My interpretation then is
“I really love rust. I’ve picked up on the fact it’s cool to shout about rust from the rooftops. I thought I’d do a tropish rip on another language tribe to strengthen ours.”
Which sadly meant I didn’t put as much effort into really reading about rust if the author had instead titled it as
“My experience and observation implementing and executing advent of code in rust, plus a pointlessly contrived timing comparison for giggles.”
