Phew.. I haven't tried to teach programming to anyone yet, but i think it would be a good idea to ask the student to point to some object. Then point to a different object. Then explaining to them that they are asking the computer to do the same thing as moving their hand and index finger. *- Ofcourse, it may not be practical in a big class, and it might help to put the objects in a sequence. Any feed back on having tried this??
