Of course this neglects many confounding variables, but a factor of nearly 2.5 is quite large.

- i_am_proteus 5y agoYou'd probably be better off comparing the deaths per billion vehicle-km (7.3 for the states and 5.8 for the French). Figure that it's the bit about traveling in the vehicle that bears the risk, not just being a person in the country.
