Microsemi has a new SoC that is based off their Polarfire FPGA series and includes a RISC-V core with a smaller FPGA fabric. Unfortunately they're rather expensive like virtually every other FPGA that has 10+Gbps capable SERDES.
- sylware 5y agoooof! That's kind of super overkill for what I had planned :) (USB keyboards) It is like those 64bits risc-v SOCs with an "AI" block on them (making them significantly "bigger" to what I am seeking), way too much overkill even if it is fun to fool around with shmol silicium accelerated neural nets.
- bcrl 5y agoLattice seems to be the most cost effective FPGA vendor. I just wish it was cheaper / easier to get boards made for those of us that don't quite have the time to become EEs.
