Apple isn't the same exact company it was with Steve Jobs, but they still have loads of clever employees. I think speculating that Apple is basically done innovating other than refining their existing stuff is the least imaginative opinion possible. For instance, I think that they have the tools in place to do amazing stuff with Augmented Reality in a way that people might actually want to use. While Zuckerberg is puttering about doing the blandest and most cringe possible metaverse stuff, Apple might be able to do something that bridges the real world with the virtual.
