'Particulate Warheads' Full of Dust Could Help Defeat Hypersonic Weapons
- hbrav 5y agoReliably defeating ballistic missiles is already a huge challenge. Isn't this idea also interesting because it lets you kill ballistic missile warheads?
- techdragon 5y agoSo it's back to flak! At a certain point its just high tech skeet shooting. Against hypersonic target, you can't hope to hit it with a single projectile due to inherent uncertainties, so you switch to multiple projectiles spread out in the area you expect the target to be traversing... just like skeet shooting with a shotgun.
