Kind of a tangent, but is anyone else pissed off that Android doesn't offer a way to simply disable the microphone system-wide? It could be toggled in the notification bar in the same way that Wifi, Bluetooth, etc. can today. I have to use Zoom lately, and my solution is an old Android tablet that I don't use for anything else. I opened it up and physically disabled the built-in microphone. I use a headset for meetings, and simply disconnect it from the tablet when the meeting is over.
