My first question would be: What happens when your entire Google cloud infrastructure gets shutdown because of the all-too-common algorithmic account kill switch if you make a mistake in your advertising account or somewhere else in the Google ecosystem. Anyone in your organization using Google services can trigger an account shutdown.
We continue to see posts on HN form people who are desperate because they got hit by the no-recourse kill switch. And this is from people who know of HN and are lucky enough to post and sometimes get some help. The number of people who's accounts are shut down with no recourse that nobody hears from is likely very large.
After seeing friends go through this many years ago (about ten or so) I decided never to trust Google with anything I deemed critical. I think I only use them for search, and that's it.
We recently had to choose an email provider. Some suggested Gmail for business. The first thought that came to mind is the absolute lack of what I call "business manners" or "business ethics" Google exhibit. We took our business to Zoho mail. So far the experience has been excellent. The one thing I know is that Zoho values our business and we are not going to get shutdown on any given Monday at 2 PM for some bullshit reason and without any hope of customer service.
