.bash_history is great when sshing into a server you haven’t visited in awhile that does a specific thing and you have all the previous sessions commands at your fingertips. It’s not so great for local dev when you have 8 terms open all the time.
For local dev I’ve switched to zsh which has better history management, but it’s still not perfect and sometimes things get ignored (or forgotten?).
This pdf is very helpful, would be great to see something similar for others like zsh and fish
