Uber hit the person because they had disabled automatic emergency braking, not because the sensors failed to detect objects.
- judge2020 5y agoTheir Lidar wasn't plugged into AEB, so it's not like Lidar would have helped AEB either. The car's built in radar would have triggered a stop.
