Alberta ditches proof-of-vaccine program midnight, masking for students Monday
- jleyank 5y agoThey expect, and I totally hope, that with Omicron the threat of Covid will decrease to manageable proportions. We have no real basis for such hopes other than things don't look too bad at the moment. But a whole lot of the world is still unvaccinated so there's lots of naive hosts for the virus to try again. People are still dying, still suffering from Long Covid. Hospitals are still screwed up and man, are the health professionals burned out. Independent of your political views, it would be prudent to stfu and do whatever you can to keep the health pros on the job as we need them going back to the stuff they did in 2019.

- ipspam 5y agoThe majority of the population now have vaccine and natural Immunity. Seems like the prudent thing to do.
