> IMO, the M1 laptops are fairly priced, but the Mac Pros have been poor value in the past. I'm really curious to see if that changes. I, too, am curious how the new Mac Pros are priced. I have a 2013 Mac Pro I paid around $3,800 for. Still using it. Last fall it had a significant performance drop, which I attribute to the Intel security mitigations (it was apparent after a security update to Big Sur). The current Mac Pros are very much out of my range, but the processors in those things are so expensive. They might be able to lower the price a lot, to the level that the 2013 was at. Hoping, at least.
