it is interesting to see if it works with redpanda for me too, at the moment it can be run just as java class, it shouldn't be hard to run it in docker, will redpanda work with Kafka Streams?
- agallego 5y agoyes sir. should just work w/ no changes. just change the docker img name to redpanda. let me know if anything comes up.
- njiv 5y agoIt works, and much faster, awesome! I also wonder if you can suggest some no-JVM streams alternative. No needs for the same API, it is tiny and can be easily rebuilt. I see redpanda has some WASM transforms. Do they have access to something like kafka streams local store? Can I run JS there? I can actually make same transform for WASM, but for now JS is easier as a next step.
- agallego 5y agoHehe Awesome. Good to hear :) For wasm we are collecting feedback so def comment on that GitHub thread. There is a blog post describing the API preview.
- njiv 5y agoI've found the blog post, everything looks exactly like needed - we can have TemporalIO style workflows just out of the box. Could you send a link to the github thread?
