Maybe a lot of user issues regarding lag wasn't GB of memory which everyone made it out to be but really slow OS and Intel chips getting progressively slower all those security patches...

- kitsunesoba 5y agoI wonder if CPU architecture differences have any perceptible impact on user experience. It may be my imagination but back during the PowerPC → Intel transition it felt like the two CPU archs had different "responsiveness profiles" with the OS stalling or feeling bogged down at differing times/situations.
