Hi Friends - thinking of writing an article about how to get talent poached effectively and easily. What questions would you like to see covered / answered?
- MattGaiser 5y agoSorry, who is this for? Is this for individuals who want to be poached? Is this a title mocking companies that get their talent poached and what they are doing wrong? Is this for devs trying to recruit other devs?

I asked on twitter to a group of people who were looking for jobs, "For those looking for work right now, what step are you on?" and the options were - finding roles - interviewing prep - interviewing - Waiting to get poached // And surprisingly to me, most of the people answered "Waiting to get poached"
- sebg 5y ago[One day later] Thinking it would cover: - how to tell potential companies you're working on problems they care about - how to meet potential hiring managers at other companies - how to effectively use recruiters with great leverage on your time / effort - how the hiring / poaching cycle works - what to look out for regarding contracts you signed at your current position - how to think through comparing your current role vs an unknown new role - how to effectively level up responsibility, scope, renumeration
