- andrewfromx 5y agoThis explains in great detail about the OTHER officers on the scene before Derek Chauvin arrived and who Derek Chauvin was to them. He was their field officer that trained them. i.e. All the training they received at the academy went out the window and it was ALOT of pressure to just always do what your field officer says to do. The podcast goes into detail about the black officer and how he was raised by a white mom who "didn't see color." He had this wonderful, admirable desire to be a police officer and fix the system from the inside. But his best friend warmed him the system will change HIM, and it did.
