- exDM69 15y agoI agree with you. But C is also ugly because Duff's device is possible. Think about it from an optimizing compiler standpoint. It takes a serious amount of effort to turn Duff's device -type control flow into an intermediate representation that can be somehow optimized. Now compare that to a language that is based on some form of extended lambda calculus.
