What kind of hard problems, may I know?

  In my case I'm a direct response marketer, so it's finding ways to maximize volume and decrease cost per customer acquisition in very competitive spaces. A very different thing than what most developers would think of as a hard problem. I find direct response marketing fascinating because in a way its discovering truth - not what people say the want, but what they actually take action on.
