I had a job writing Haskell. Then when COVID rolled in we were all put on furlough as the startup had iffy funding. Now I work at a larger company slinging JavaScript. Am I happier? Well, I'd say the technology I work on is a lot less interesting. But I wouldn't trade in stability and benefits for another early age startup, just to write monads again.
