Benchmarking Popular Markdown Parsers on iOS
- Someone 5y agoTwo HTML parsers and three markdown parsers. Unsurprisingly, the HTML ones are slower It isn’t useful for the use case (rendering Reddit posts, which are available in both formats), but I think the post could have made that clearer, as this may give the impression the HTML ones are very bad, performance wise. I guess it would be somewhat fairer to the HTML parsers to compute performance per input byte or character (including CSS)
