Joe Rogan and the Ethics of Apology [audio]
- ratsmack 5y agoIn today's environment, an apology only seems to exacerbates and further inflame the issue. I think the best tact is to ignore it until it goes away.

- itisit 5y agoI think because these statements come across as transparent mea culpas. There's no sincerity, no feeling, no remorse...no apology, if you will. But I do tend to agree with the sentiment that nothing is good enough for some nebulous group of outraged people. They just want to tar and feather until the person is humiliated out of the public eye. You know, cancelled. So I see why the other side just goes through the apology motions and promptly returns to business as usual. It's all quite funny and meaningless.
- karmakaze 5y agoIs it that hard to differentiate? I'm sorry for x. I apologize that y lead to you experiencing x.
- nikolay 5y agoNo wonder as the left are insincere people by definition and as such, they don't buy into anyone's apology, which they always find fishy!
