New 'game-changing' technology removes 99% of carbon dioxide from the air
- BeefWellington 5y agoThis looks promising if it scales up well it could make a big difference but if there's limits to the scale of it then I imagine it won't be adopted widely. I think the goal of any such carbon capture technology should be to be as cheap as possible so as to gain wide adoption in areas that have a carbon tax system. If the carbon capture tech is cheaper than the carbon taxes in those, that will become its own incentive for businesses to change and economies of scale could help to drive costs down further, potentially doing the rare thing of rewarding early adopters the most.
