The immediate goal of FSD is NOT to drive perfectly, the goal (MVP) is to drive safer than the average human. Most probably the type of accidents the FSD MVP will be having is different than a human would and vice versa. There are 60k testers [0] of FSD and only 1 accident since September. OK, not really average drivers but that's one accident for 15k years of (some) driving. Probably FSD is already safer than most drivers. Although FSD is not yet complete as it cannot handle some situations at all and hands over to the human.
