Ask HN: Silent Mechanical Keyboards Recommendation
I enjoy using mechanical keyboards but I don't like the sound of them. I used them in a couple of environments and would like to buy one for home.
What I don't like is the sound. I would like the one that is as silent as possible.
Does anyone have any recommendation of an afordable mechanical keyboard that is very silent?
- taubek 5y agoI was looking for one and I didn't find it. I ended up with Logitech G213. This is not a mechanical keyboard, but it is not a thin one like you have on laptops. I wanted a keyboard that has a palm rest. Most of the mechanical keyboards that were available to me didn't have it. It seems to me that keyboards are created for gamers only. Maybe I was looking at wrong places.
- jeffreygoesto 5y agoThe Apple Aluminum Keyboard is pretty silent.
- gls2ro 5y agoI have all generations of Apple Wireless Keyboards starting with 2007, but not the wired ones. Are the wired ones mechanical or different than the Wireless counterparts?
