One superpower I wish I had would be to get the objective answer why something did or did not happen. Why did the station not get shut down? Were there key people in place that actively prevented it? Were certain questions simply not asked? I like the "we want to be good train people" argument, of course. It reinforces some faith in humanity. But it would be funny if there was some weird subsidy + very old agreement that everyone is too embarrassed to talk about.
